We were given the topic of 2030 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) for our midterm project. We decided to choose the goal for clean water and sanitation. In fact, Indonesia is still far from reaching this target. The real image can be seen at the Cisadane River. This river has been used for garbage disposal and other waste when the people living near the river are still using the stream for bathing and washing clothes.
For the final project, our team documented the life of a mother who gave birth as a prisoner and had to take her daughter together to jail. Our team visited Class IIA Prisoner for Women and Children, Tangerang City. We portrayed the challenges of the mothers who raised their children in jail, whether there was support from the government, psychological pressure vented to their children, and the unexpected strong bond created between women living as prisoners.
